Somebody please help me In understanding SD and HD channels.

Q.1 ) Suppose If i purchase Hathway HD box and if i do not pay for HD channels , will i still be Getting SD channels Freely ?

Q.2) Do SD channels managed by LCO or HATHWAY head Office ?

Q.3) Do I need to inform my LCO about HD box if i purchase it from the hathway headoffice ?

1.If you purchase hathway HD box and you do not pay for HD channels then also you get SD channels free but only one month.after that 200rs have to pay to your LCO.if not he will cut the line.
2.Both.But for SD channels hathway local head office(hyderabad).for HD channels hathway head office Mumbai.
3.hathway head office will inform to your LCO or you can inform to your LCO ultimately have to inform LCO.

Since yesterday I am facing this issue. Sporadically I get this error, "Resolution not Supported". Then I have to turn off my TV and turn it on back to get the signal again. This is happening quite frequently now, anyone facing this issue :(

Menu > Settings > TV Setup

Select appropriate HD resolution. If you are having a HD ready TV and have selected 1080i, you will get this error. Select 720 res.

AssassinDroid, how many HDMI ports you have on your TV ?

Try to connect to the seconD HDMI device on your T.V ..
My TV has 4 HDMI ports, I have changed the HDMI port this morning, I will have to check later in the evening about the issue.

Menu > Settings > TV Setup

Select appropriate HD resolution. If you are having a HD ready TV and have selected 1080i, you will get this error. Select 720 res.
My TV is Full HD and I have selected 1080i

Friends,

I am presently using this set top box in which i am getting almost all the channels in digital quality with good sound on a monthly rent to my LCO Rs.200 . All Hindi news channels , all telugu news channels, most of the movie channels , entertainment channels, geographic channels.

Now I am planning to Buy HD STB which cost me Rs.2000 .

HD Package presently in HATHWAY is Rs.150 for 24+ HD channels.
SD Package again has a different package for it somewhere between 200 to 450 rupees that too no guarantee of getting all your liked channels because it has different format something like again ADD-ON package and A-la-carte package ..etc...,

Now my question is , if i go for HD Box then my monthly rent for the channels are going to be some where between Rs.500 to Rs.700 .
How would I be benefitted Now ?

HD Package : Rs.150
SD Package : Rs. 400 +
ADD-ON : Rs.50 to Rs.100
A-la-Carte : Rs.100+

It comes to around Rs.500 + monthly rent + Rs.200 LCO (which i am paying everymonth as usual).

Q.) If I go for HD Box, and i dont want to go for HD channels package every month ( infact sometimes very frequently when i like to watch Sports or something entertaining in HD then i want to take HD package ) , and i also wont Buy SD channels, will I still be getting those digital channels which i am getting right Now in the mentioned image of my SET TOP BOX ?

Hope you have Understood my question.

I want to pay Rs.200 to my LCO as usual and want to watch all those channels which my LCO is giving me right Now in digital quality in HD box wil i be able to receive them without recharging HD and SD packages ?

Hathway Hyderabad is currently selling only annual HD packages.

Rs 2200 for HD STB and Rs 1800 for package.

For SD, you can continue to pay the 200 to the LCO.

I suggest you take the HD from the LCO and not from the head office.
