Instead it's high time Broadcasters start dealing with Hathway in a Pan India basis instead of state and city wise.

Phase 2 of CAS implementation had a deadline of 31 March 2013, which was subsequently increased to 30 Sep and 31 Dec in some areas by pleas to the court of law. 38 Tier I and Tier II cities were in this list. Ludhiana, Hyderabad, Faridabad, Allahabad, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Jodhpur, Thane, Meerut, Jaipur, Ghaziabad, Aurangabad, Nashik, Pune, Sholapur, Ranchi, Varanasi, Kanpur, Bangalore, Indore, Vadodra, Lucknow, Nagpur, Bhopal, Agra, Navi Mumbai, Howrah, Surat, Mysore, Ahmedabad, Patna, Pimpri Chinchwad, Vizag and Rajkot.

Phase 3 includes all areas of the country classified as Urban under Telecom Act. Cut off date is 30 Sep 2014.

Phase 4 includes rest of the country. Cut off date is 31 Dec 2014.

The phases 3 and 4 are surely going to go into 2015 and maybe even 2016!

I was expecting a speedy implementation of DAS from this new government. But they too didn't seems to be serious .

Customer are not willing to go for stb for various reason thats why cable operator facing problem and going slow

Also LCO, MSO and Govt. are not implementing things smoothly.

But my LCO/MSO now say that they have got notification from Govt to go complete digitalization by Sep 30 and stop analoge .

There is a lack of will on part of LCOs who would have to declare their actual subscriber base. And lose illegal revenue.

And they have an easy excuse. Paucity of STBs.
