Yes, new packages are here Hathway Digital Cable
349 + tax is quite a let down without HD channels.
Hathway is coming up with what they call a HD Zapper pack for 150pm. I guess its something like the HD Access fee. So approx 570 a month is a little too high. DTH operators might well be smiling.

This correction had to happen as for long now Cable Operators were not giving broadcasters their due, they kept under-declaring customers and filling their own pockets.
Now as this correction happens another thing will happen soon , which is that broadcasters will have to bring their prices to an economical level and create and environment where all shareholders viz a viz Broadcasters, LCO's, MSO's, DTH Operators all our happy. In another few years consolidation will too happen , LCO's will get dissolved into MSO's and some DTH operators too will either consolidate or share infrastructure

I think its a conspiracy of STAR India and they choose their former alliance Hathway to start with and because of Hathway whole MSO Industry become similar to DTH (rate wise). We thought Hathway doing some thing revolutionary but ultimately its screwed us who want to enjoy entertainment in low cost price and because prices rock upto sky similar to DTH its a win - win for Broadcasters and MSO and STAR succeeded on their mission.

Bro, u r wrong. Here Cable Operators at fault. Plz understand that unless we pay properly to broadcasters, we won't get good content. What has been happening all these years in the Cable Industry has been mentioned by me in my previous post. Cable operators leaked all money and filled their pockets.
If u see in Foreign Countries as the broadcasters get good subscription revenue so they deliver good content. In India still broadcasters r dependent on ad revenue which gives them 90 percent of the revenue but still it is not enough. With HD expanding, cost of production has further increased multifold. Channels have to give Lakhs to each production house for every episode of the show produced, then there are other costs like marketing, distribution, sales, employee salaries, running costs like paying for transponders to relay channels, high electricity charges which used in running the channel etc. etc.
What we are paying is peanuts. We have to get over this paying less, getting more attitude but by that it does not mean that broadcasters can overcharge, there has to be a balance

Many don't has money and can't afford costly Television Subscription, we want entertainment and no one ask Broadcasters to raise the bar and if they're doing this then why passing prices on those peoples who have other bills to pay then television. No one watch TV 24x7 and whosoever then better he paid more if he like to. We want low cost entertainment and if Broadcasters are ready then proceed they can earn revenues by thousands of way and can cut cost atleast from crackers at the Football and Kabaddi game.

So what's the issue. One can choose lower packages which are affordable and they do give popular channels in it. Those who have pocket to pay they can pay for higher packages or HD packages. You can't tell broadcasters to squeeze their budget, they have to innovate and renovate.
