So Hathway is around 25% costlier as compared to other MSOs...

Other MSOs are some how compromising with some thing to keep the balance of costs but Hathway don't care and ready to put the burden on subscribers shoulders since they have both Quality and Quantity.

This burden is more for small cities like Hyderabad.Hyderabad is a big city but in hathway view it is very small city.

I think Hathway is listed company & thats why there are many formalities & regulations that they need to follow......which results in cost hike.

And they're the front runner to hike the prices too, first to made Star channels ala carte and then hike the base pack price by adding those.

Now let me analyze the prices:

Hathway HD STB costs Rs 2000. This price is same all India.
-Your getting free HD channels (All HD channels) for 1 year which costs Rs 1800 (per month Rs 150) same all India

Now regarding the remaining two prices:
- Rs 200 for one time activation. Depends on LCO, if he is a good friend or a nice person he will not charge.
This is actually SD channel price (Rs 200/month)

-Rs 500 for installation charges. Again if LCO is nice and good friend he may not charge.

So if you have people who know LCO, In your society you can save Rs 700.

I Agree with you. I took Hattway HD replacing Videocon D2H connection in the beginning of this month.
I never found it expensive.

Now if ones takes all SD channels (Excluding Premium channels) @ Rs 200/pm, and all HD channels (Excluding Premium Channels) @ Rs 150/pm. Total we have to pay Rs 350/pm. This is a good price for 300+ SD channels and 30+ HD channels.

it is only happening in some parts of India but they are charging same price for very less channels.how anybody can justify this??

It means rates are same but channels are less.

In Jabalpur, Bhopal we have to pay atleast Rs. 350 to Rs. 400 for all SD channels, HD not yet started.
