I don't know which MBA came up with the pricing. It is 7999 with 1 month free, 9999 with 6 months free and 12999 with 12 months free.
1 month to 6 months; it is just Rs2000 extra where as 1 month to 12 months it is Rs5000 extra. 12 month pricing should have been only Rs11999 or less than that.

What are SD premium channels? Are they including HBO Hits/Defined and other Star Sports channels?

Hathway now have lots of SD Premium channels like Star Sports
It is just the name of the SD package. Premium channels like HBO Hits/Defined are not included. Forget about premium channels, that pack doesn't include all the channels as well. If you look at Mumbai SD packages here: Hathway Digital Cable it is around Rs349.
