The Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) has adjourned the matter of Hathway Cable & Datacom versus Star India, Star Sports and Taj Television to Tuesday. The hearing in the matter began today with Hathway arguing that it cannot be made to pay the outstanding dues based on RIO rates retrospectively as the previous agreement was negotiated. The new agreement, in contrast, is based on RIO. The cable TV service provider argued that the outstanding payment should be made based on the rates as per the expired agreement.
