EntMnt Xclusive "Hbo defined HD" channel price increasing 10₹

HD Access Fee and High A-La-Carte prices r nothing but part of tata sky's strategy to force subscribers to opt for higher packages.

I was a supporter of HD Access Fee as i thought that it will be less and SD package price will compensate for high prices of HD channels but now HD Add On's of Dish TV r so much more cost effective and suitable than this HD "Excess" Fee of Tata Sky.

Also they r raising A-La-Carte prices in an absurd manner, i wish someone files a case as they r doing this deliberately. They offer all things at inflated price, even SWP HD Annual Plan is offered by Videocon at RS. 500 while Tata Sky offers it at Rs. 600 (same applies for semi annual) and now they r charging premium for normal chs too as all their pricea r 50-150% more than competitors

Yeah because that time combo was costing 9 Rs. less then a individual, now individual channel costing 1 Re. extra then combo

Also if Star decides to screw HBO channels by hiking its price then they should the experiment first with SWP HD

There are less takers for that channel in the first instance hence that idea dropped

Not only stopped showing new movies, infact HBO Hits is as good as redundant now as they have started showing old seasons of HBO Originals all day.

I think these channels will shut shop shortly

They should shut shop .. In the beginning they were showing a new movie every week or atleast once in two weeks .. Now I cant remember when did they last show a new movie ..

Rs. 100 won't matters for HBO much, what they will do even if they add Rs. 100 more on it, their production cost is more then what they collects for a month from India.

Yeah. But it's not only viewed in India but the contents are viewed across the globe. So the amount collected can be used for library addition and content development.
