D2h cant provide ads on a ad free channel. In fact, D2h (or any operator) cant add ANY ad on ANY channel. It is the broadcaster who inserts ads in its programming.An operator cant alter any program in the channel.

Who told you bhai that response is good ? What is the channel viewer ship penetration ? How many operators are having this channel and how many have subscribed ? Except few newer movies, they are already showing and shown hollywood movies on existing HBO channel.

Advt free channel can be good but never popular and preferable among normal indian viewers bro.

I already told you dont compare prime channels with normal channels.They wont get that much of viwership.I agree now very few operators(only two) having these channels.Again I am saying dont compare the viewership with other channels.These are new channels and yet to get popular.I am saying about DishTV.I have inquired about this.I got info that in Dish TV these movies viewership is good and they are getting new connections also.Mite be my info is wrong,as you said you may have accurate info.

I am not saying that your info is wrong bhaskar bhai. But i think we are over hyping these 2 channels. I was going through their schedule and 90% of movies I have already seen on their existing channel.

So, Just because they are now showing these channels as Advt free, why should i be interested in paying them so much amount. I must say at this point that i am huge Fan of HBO and Sony PIX channels. So, i regularly watch these channels.

Coming back to topic HBO too seems be riding on a dreamy plane and thinking of revising the prices. Except Upper Middle class i don't think remaing Indians are going to subscribe this channel by paying > Rs 100.

Do we actually require a Advt free channel at this stage of Digital Evolution ? I don't think so buddy :giggle:

I do agree That more movies from HBO only.But They are giving Serials also(I know followers are very few)which are HBO originals.Not only that HBO is trying to give more Hindi channels.If they succeed to bring more Hindi Premiers then viewer ship will be more. I do agree that channels cost is high but I think it is worth.Anyways we have to see in future how these channels will take a shape,everything depends on this only.
