If they convert existing channels to MPEG4, then all DD Free Dish subscribers will be forced to change the STB. DD doesn't want to force their subscribers to change STB. Hence, 59 channels will continue to be in MPEG2

I would choose the following pack once my Mega South HD pack expires next march:

South Special - 180
Sports 1 PAck - 85
English Movies Pack - 65
HD Access Fee - 125
Ten HD - 60
Total - Rs. 515

so in D2H is it going to cost 5000? It is similar man .. take current package for instance South Platinum (with lot more channels than tatasky has itself on platform) 410 + 150 (HD access for south) then it is still 560 which is just few rupees more it has more HD channels
(you will get more channels than just south special pack in d2h)

DTH costs are same.. just nazariya alag hai.. if you like then u will like it for unmentionable reasons..

I have not used Dish TV or Sun TV but i had firm belief that they are not customer centric operators....hence i have never ever considered for my DTH connection....

If they are not customer centeric how they manage to get that much subscribers? For less channels when some DTH costs lot then it means they aren't customer centeric and they are eccentric.

Tatasky CC is not like what it was before, where others have developed, they have come down now.If you want to chat online you need to wait in Que for 20-30mins

Also i dont know what is need of CC , if you take care of billings cycles properly and do recharges on time. and follow a particular procedure while recharging.

Every DTH operator knows that very few people change DTH because of non-availability of channels or increase in prices. Hence they come up with these kind of policies to suck more money from the subscribers.

Govt should seriously ask these DTH operators to implement Portable STB's, only then we as Consumers will have greater level of control in switching b/w operators based on our preference

what is the worry if some are going to shift to d2h but not going to do becoz of this? do a research properly.. HD access fee is not going to cost you more than what you are going to pay without HD access..
Right now also we are paying that amount but it is included inside packages , i dont think it is bad or good move but just a different way to cook same curry

Surely it will cost us more.. I want sports channel in hd and movies too... Which base pack plus access fee will get me these in less than 400??
