may be they are gradually converting the movie database into HD...

indeed, even ktv HD is playing old movies in HD for example, kadhala kadahala, thirumalai and Telugu movies.

Then there is a problem with their conversion mechanism. Star Gold HD do the same where as Zee Cinema shows old movies too in accurate HD verison.

I think its not the problem with conversion. even though they have HD copy with them, they are playing SD version. for example below movies are played in HD when telugu hd service was there but now they are telecasting these movies in Standard Definition.

K TV HD initially they didnt telecast movies in HD.. gradually they increased the HD movies library now...
