As fresh rains hit the state again, the water level in the Jehlum river is rising due to continuous rainfall.

However, Met department had predicted that there would be only moderate rainfall in the next few days.

Jhelum was earlier flowing at 14.10 feet at Sangam in south Kashmir, nearly nine feet below the danger mark, while the water level at Ram Munshi Bagh in the city was 15.25 feet, an official of the Flood Control Department said.

Rain and landslide has once again flooded J&K and destabilizes the life of people there. They were trying to recover from earlier flood and again everything set up got destroyed by nature.

Also, heard that govt is complete failure this time to handle the situation once again due to which citizens are suffering.

Whenever we hear or talk about J&K, it feels like we are talking about some 3rd world land.

people are co-operative towards separatist because they must be more prompt and spontaneous than govt in all kind of things.

I think these kind of flash floods will happen in future also. So better to develop infrastructure to cope with it, like China is doing which would channelize extra water downstream so as to avoid flooding.
