You can use existing LNB and dish for new Tata Sky connection, if in good condition and if you want new dish and LNB, technician can set the new dish on same holes after removing older dish.

did u get optical out port on the stb?? R the new hd stbs coming with this port coz my HT has optical in port and i want to enjoy 5.1 output which im missing on d2h.. My tv has 2 Hdmi in ports and Ht has 1 hdmi out and optical in port apart from stereo sound ports..

All HD STBs of Tata Sky have Digital Optical output.

There are 2 options

i) Ask the technician to use existing Videocon dish setup to align Tata Sky and you take the Tata Sky dish equipments and keep in your home
ii) If they don't agree, then you can ask them to remove Videocon dish & use the same drilled holes to install Tata Sky dish

PS :- I am now using Videocon dish for viewing Tata Sky and recently when my LNB had gone weak, I asked technician to replace it on Videocon dish and he did it

Since both dish r more or less the same size I don't care which dish they use but I don't want new drills and get it installed d2h tripod stand.. waiting for d2h recharge expiration
