Indicating the growing importance of new media platforms like mobile, infotainment broadcaster History TV18 is showcasing a documentary on the two World Wars first on its app before launching the show on the channel. Titled ‘The World Wars’, the six-part is series will premiere on the newly launched History TV18 app on 4 August, followed by its television premiere on 11 August. Moreover, for the Bengali feed, the channel has roped in veteran Bengali actor Sabyasachi Chakrabarty who will be narrating the series, while the English feed is narrated by two-time Oscar nominee Jeremy Renner. To promote the show, regular promos are being run on the channel. Social media is also being used as a promotional tool.
