Japanese car maker Honda Cars India Ltd on Thursday introduced its sports utility vehicle BR-V at Rs.8.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The prices of variants go up to as much Rs12.90 lakh.

BR-V has a lot in common with Honda’s multi-utility vehicle Mobilio that failed to capture the market as customers preferred two-row, five-seater SUVs instead of three-row, seven-seater multi-utility vehicles.

However, in BR-V too, Honda has offered three rows and seven seats but it comes with multiple split set options to suit customer tastes.

BR-V is also built on the Brio platform on which Honda has built Amaze and Mobilio, but the car maker has tried to make BR-V distinct through cosmetic changes such as a wide front grille and an updated dashboard that also comes in the new Amaze.

The vehicle is available in petrol and diesel engine versions with both having engine displacement of 1500cc. It is available in six colours and comes with three-year warranty on unlimited kilometres.
