Netflix is a video on demand service offering its users to stream through tons of great movies and TV shows, on a subscription based package which costs around Rs 500-800 in India.

On the other hand, Hotstar is also a paid platform but it earns most of its profits with advertisements. But, Netflix has an intensive collection of movies and shows if compared to Hotstar.


Hotstar has always been popular for cricket streaming but it airs 'Game of Thrones'. The best part of Hotstar is uncensored version of 'GoT' and at the US premiere time.

While Netflix has got amazing shows like 'House of Cards', 'Orange is the New Black', 'Narcos', 'The Killing', 'Marco Polo' and many more, Drew Barrymore to star in Netflix comedy series Hotstar has got shows like 'How I Met Your Mother', 'Silicon Valley', 'Veep', 'Modern Family', 'New Girl' etc.

Hotstar has just jumped into the race. It would be foolish to compare it with Netflix which is a global leader is online streaming.

There is and another app called showbox, better than these all apps. I have used many apps including hotstar and netflix but showbox is best among all of them. Try its apk and you won't be disappoint. Thanks
