Thing about reception and technology. If Channel PQ is worst then DTH can't do anything but if channels like STAR SPORTS 1 which blur specially during India's Match then it seems uneasy to watch I think DD National PQ is better then SS 1 in dishtv though its reception s from DD Free Dish.

DD pq is always better but the DTH compressions makes the differance.
It's from DD.that's the reason.

Then in this case HD PQ is better from Broadcaster end and also dishtv using dedicated Satellite hence they able to provide maximum quality.

Also I am not able understand how HD Box improves PQ of SD Channel ?

I am firm believes that because of heavy compression dishtv s SD PQ is not upto the mark compare to other DTH.

yes..It is damn true that Dish TV SD PQ is the worst comparing to all DTH and it it do not fact that HD STB will give better SD PQ.

As far as i read in forums it's BECAUSE of stb software,quality.
Most part is the stb upscaling the recieved signal.
Some Experts please shed light on this .

I think SD PQ on HD STB is better as HD STB has good sw & hw processing on HDMI interface.
