If at all the main concern is about features then it should affect whole sd channels then why only some are showing it in bad qualityI mean there are more features as far as DishTV is concerned....
So is it something related to carriage fees that if a broadcaster offers less cariage fee then a particular dth will try to discomfort the channel by decreasing its pqI think HD STBs use better quality HW than those used in normal STB, may be that's why cost is high.
Also HDMI interface provides better PQ than normal AV interface.
I had SD STB which I got exchanged last year with HD. Definitely there is an improvement in PQ/AQ even for SD channels.
This may not apply to all SD channels as ultimately PQ level is also managed by DTH backend. So if they want bad PQ on Sony or CNBC Awaaz channel then they will simply decrease PQ.

I dont think it is the issue.Carriage fee will work for adding of the channel but not depending on the PQ.Generally it is broadcaster end responsible for the PQ but yes..DTH also is responsible to give good PQ and I think after adding any channel it is DTH work to give good PQ after all it is the reputation of that particular DTH.So is it something related to carriage fees that if a broadcaster offers less cariage fee then a particular dth will try to discomfort the channel by decreasing its pq
Still those channels coming with good PQ in other DTHs where as in Dish TV those channels PQ is pathetic.Few channels pq is bad from broadcast end.
