HTC is believed to be making another attempt to capture tablet market with its Tegra 3 and Android 4.0 ICS powered 'Vertex' tablet

Undeterred with the poor response meted to the Android tablets, HTC is planning its comeback with a 'unique' tablet. We had earlier heard that the company was working on a fresh concept that would rival Apple iPad, Microsoft Surface and even Google Nexus 7. Thankfully we will not be subjected to another Android 'tablet' clone in the already crowded tablet space.

Recently Notebook italia got its hands on the Nenamark2 AnTuTu benchmarks of this upcoming tablet, revealing the name and the spec details in full glory.

Dubbed 'VertexF_PRM', the 10.1 tablet will sport a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and be powered up by Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and a quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor.

It will also feature dual cameras - a front facing 1.3-megapixel snapper and a 2-megapixel rear camera. The benchmarks further reveal the popular Beats Audio integration and a Bluetooth 4.0 and WiFi connectivity.

With the release of the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, there is a high probability that the device may be treated to a upgrade post release. While there is no concrete information on the release date and pricing of the HTC 'Vertex', speculations indicate that the launch date is close.

Will the HTC Vertex be able to turn around company's fortune in the tablet market? HTC is surely betting on it.
