In our gujarat Most of People use
Here is list most of people use which network in Gujarat
1:-Idea(South Gujarat;Saurastra;And North Gujarat)
2:-Vodafone(South Gujarat;Central Gujarat;and North Gujarat)
3:-BSNL(Mostly South Gujarat;Central Gujarat;And Saurashrtra)
4:-Airtel(South; North and Central Gujarat )
5:-TataDocomo(Famous Only South and Central Gujarat )(It's network available only Big City:-Baroda Ahmedabad ETC)
6:-Uninor(South And North Gujarat)(but network is not powerful)
Aircel/virgin/MTS/Videocon only thier name
Not powerful network in gujarat
In our gujarat Most Of People First Choose Idea Because their Network and Service
Idea Is Most Of Use in Our South Gujarat and Sauratsra
Idea 2g/3G network , its available in my small villages in my rural area.
So I first choose IdeA
Second is vodafone
Third is BSNL

You can be sure that it won't happen with idea.
2-3 years back I purchased a separate sim card just to test mobile networks. I ported to all major networks except Aircel in Mumbai. Don't know how Aircel works....But Reliance is horrible for sure.
I think before buying anything one should see who is the owner & his background. A small study will help you isolate bad boys.
No wonder Reliance & Airtel are famous !

Haven't experienced Idea yet. Waiting for National MNP to migrate one of my outside mumbai number to Idea-Mumbai.
Vodafone coverage is very bad at my place. Even Airtel is not good. Had complained numerous times but they didn't rectified.

As per my experience, Airtel and vodafone are best in my place and the package rates are similar. After them, aircel, idea and docomo.
