In my IIT also...many such steps were taken...but at that time we left those steps to the discretion of IIT Director and authorities...now we talk about every small or big thing...many things are subjective in nature...by subjective what I mean is...we do not know what was the kind of discussion and what was the language used...you know what kind of language is used within hostel internal forums anyway...only thing which has changed in Modi era is...to just scrutinize everything and create chaos on all topics...somewhere I read Student was punished...and somewhere I read the discussion forum was banned...not sure what to believe and what not...sometimes within hostels in during our teen age we also tend to become violent while talking on political matters...many a times institute authorities need to control that as well and then it is counted as ban...if an autonomous institute like IIT has decided let's not judge from outside...what I have seen after staying there for 4 years is that the decision making is mature and self-sustained...

yes bro.....because normally its seen that IITs are very aggressive in protecting their autonomy....
Here the language used by the Ambedkar Periyar Study Circle to criticize PM is not exactly known.....
Also one cann't use the same language in India thats used by white Americans who criticize Obama using N-words......
So the use of IIT campus to spread political / religious propaganda should not be encouraged at all......

Why they were spreading hatred by distributing pamphlets. This is wrong. There is a difference between criticism and maligning someone. So, we should watch our words carefully.
