Sometimes I feel - channel adding or not adding is not really related to space issue for most of the DTH. Rather than that it is strategic decision whether to add a channel or not. Example, Tata Sky will have all the space in the world to add Star World Premiere HD and now with space available they are not really adding several pending HD channels.

It is bargaining from dth operator.Many channels are in queue.Those channels pay extra more will get the spot in their satellite.

Every dth or MSO like to pay lesser than its competitors. And every broadcaster wants something extra as compared to its previous deal. So, this tussle goes on and on. When they arrive on mutual agreement, we enjoy the channels.
