I can't compare my jio speed with broadband as I am getting very low speed about 0.5 mbps

If ftth is launched this year, I can comfortably say that average speed with catapult multiple times. Because these 2,4,8,16 Mbps customers will be converted to atleast 50mbps

Would ftth be available to individuals?

I'm still getting 1 Mbps on my Siti Broadband. I pay 750 rupees.

One thing i am unable to understand why operators are hesitating in providing Good and faster speed on wireline connections.

Why is data still so costly in India.

its already available bro. Even MTNL is providing the same in selected areas of Mumbai.

I have fibre connection with 1Mbps speed. Luckily it gives upto 40Mbps on popular torrents using cache.

Not proxy. It's provided by the service provider. They store a copy of downloaded torrent on their servers and you get great speed on those torrents.

Yesterday got a new connection from Excitel.
Offering 30mbps for Internet usage and 50mbps for peering(YouTube, hotstar, Google play, Apple, Microsoft)
@1395+tax. So for me change has finally started. I am sure within few months airtel will be kicked out from our area.
