Sony Six to broadcast Indian Premier League 2014 players' auction


Sports channel Sony Six will broadcast the Indian Premier League (IPL) players' auction that will take place in Bangalore on February 12-13. The event will be broadcast live on both Sony Six and Sony Six HD and will take place February 12 with an option to carry on to February 13.

In the auction, each of the eight teams have the option of retaining a maximum of five players. The auction will feature 219 capped players (169 Indians and 50 overseas), and will also have 292 uncapped players (255 Indians and 37 Overseas). Indian uncapped players will be figuring in the auction for the first time.

nexGTv Bags IPL Live Streaming Mobile Rights



Mobile TV service provider nexGTv has said it has bagged the official mobile live streaming rights of Pepsi IPL 2014 season. DigiVive has partnered for content with Times Internet, the digital arm of the Times of India Group. Apart from all the matches, the users will also be able to watch match repeats and highlights as all this will be available in the video-on-demand section. Pepsi IPL channel will be clubbed into existing subscription packs of nexGTv and hence users can simply subscribe to these packs, said a nexGTv release.
