In a major blow to Indian Premier League (IPL), soft drinks major PepsiCo has reportedly sent a notice to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) communicating their desire to withdraw from the cash-rich league as title sponsors due to the spot-fixing scandal that has tarnished the image of the tournament, according to a report in The Indian Express.
The report quoted company sources as saying that "the decision was related to issues that have brought the game into disrepute".
