It is some thing like LED and LCD TV comparison.Resolution(1080P) and clarity wise same both Tvs but LED TV is sleek and LCD TV is bold.

Bhaskar Bhai its not like that .. its and buts r just guessing yaar. if any one have valid point or info that MPEG4 Picture is better than MPEG2 picture . I think no one have. Its only calculations/guessing only.
If MPEG4 DVBS2 is giving far better PQ then y D2H SD Channels r bad than other MPEG4 DTH ? also MPEG2 PQ Is better in Tatasky than atleast D2H SD as most of the DTH users say.
1 More thing is > every one said that Tatasky cant add more than 8 HD Channels in the single TP but it increased 1 by 1 and nothing wrong happened as far as PQ in all HD Channels , moreover pq is better than few others. As i said its own Our calculations of minus ,plus, divide ,substract the Mhz by number of channels.

MPEG-5 then our DTH operator would again start boasting that they are providing in new technology and that's why they are best. :p
But one thing is for sure if we get better PQ in MPEG-2 so we really don't need MPEG-4 provided we have space to accommodate the increasing no of channels along with other services.

So all moving to MPEG-4 only for space constraints. HD channels are itself bulky to carry. they consume nearly double the SD channels space. Having a draught in Indian DTH scenario in case TP's no other alternative besides MPEG-4 or else bad PQ.

Just to correct you... ;-)
Mp3 is lossy format and WAV is a lossless format without any compression.
In addition, FLAC is a lossless format with compression.
i had mistaken that wav is lossy format with compression and lossless formats are dths-hd, dts-ma and then?
