Bhuvan is a software application created by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) that allows users to explore 2D/3D representation of the Earth's surface.

The mapping app is specifically tailored to view India, offering highest resolution in the region and providing content in four local languages.

Actually this app was launched few months back. It was supposed to take the advantage of the desi GPS. But then app was a big POS. So I will try again and see how it is now.

Just used their 2D maps with satellite. They have done a very bad job. When zoomed to the road level its pain to eyes to look for the map.

Innovation is good but in practice it has flaws

Actually, what the problem is, original/raw images might come of this quality but what makes google different is the various algorithms used by them to make images we see as. They even take into account clouds.

I tried the web version yesterday and it's terrible. They need to work a lot on this.

Hope ISRO finds way of its own. Because ISRO organization in India which is doing quite well compare to other Govt. departments.

In the end it is still a government department that is the issue.
NPCIL is too having the same issues. Although NPCIL still fairs much better than other government departments but still things get mangled in paper work.
NPCIL awarded me a work in april which was supposed to be completed by september but requested me to complete by june end so that they could innaugrate the new nuclear reactor in july. But till now the electrical drawings have not been approved and endless paper work is going on.
