HELP Issue in TS new HD HEVC STB

Technician visited my home. Checked everything, coudnt get the solution. He did software update,, factory reset, but still issue is there. Audio comes for 5 mins from HT and then stops.

He called his boss and made a complaint, said some issue which he coudnt find. then he said use Optical cable and now i get DD audio from STB to HT.
He said as of now no replacement for new HD HEVC STB is there, so he said he cannot check if STB is faulty or its coz of software, as i get audio from TV speakers via HDMI from STB.

He said may be STB is not compatible with HT, like Technicolor HD STB are not compatible with some samsung LED TV.

Another thing, i have Sony Bravia LED and Sony HT, both have HDMI CEC (sync) feature, so when i turn on the TV, HT also turns on, same way if i turn OFF, HT also turns OFF.

Now HT doesnt turn ON along with TV, i have to manually put on. Also as soon as i remove the STB HDMI connection from TV, the HT-TV sync gets enabled.

That's really weird and i am sure this seems to be some manufacturing bug.

Bro, newly launched STB will have such bugs. Even Technicolor HD STB had bugs, but after successive firmware updates they were fixed.

So in coming months we can expect this new HD HEVC STB also to get updates

No, u cannot change as of now. May be in some months we will get a clear picture on HEVC

well if you change the Humax t-60 box you would get only a technicolor box not the latest one. If some days from now all boxes would be changed thats what the technician told me
