News Jawahar Goel to be acting CEO of Dish TV

Dish TV managing director Jawahar Goel will take on the additional role of chief executive officer till a replacement is found for RC Venkateish. Jawahar’s son Gaurav Goel will also assume an expanded role in Dish TV from 1 November. Gaurav, currently executive vice president, will be designated as Dish TV president of business development and strategy for three years from 1 November 2015.

“Jawahar will be acting CEO of Dish TV till a suitable candidate is finalised. Venkateish has stepped down as Dish TV CEO to pursue a more flexible professional career,” a source said. According to industry analysts, Gaurav is being groomed as the future CEO of the company

. During his tenure as EVP of business development and strategy, he has assisted the CEO of Dish TV in various facets of operations. He has played a key role in finalising the business strategies of the company. He has been deeply involved with marketing, sales, service, call centre and CRM functions of the company. He has also guided the human resources function of Dish TV to develop the talent pool in the organisation
