A 21-year-old woman gave birth to a baby boy on Tuesday at an examination centre in the Giridih district of Jharkhand.
A student of Adarah College in Dhanwar, Bharti Kumari was appearing for the third year Bachelor of Arts examination at Saria College, approximately 25 kilometres from her home.
Kumari, a resident of Jitkundi village under Birni police station, had left her house around two hours before the examination and reached the centre after travelling on a bumpy road in a three wheeler.
College authorities said all seemed well when she reached the centre minutes before the exams began. However, within half-an-hour into the exams, Kumari went into labour.
Authorities called a medical team from a nearby nursing home but by the time they could reach the college, Kumari had delivered her baby.
