Yes, I did meet him. But there is some bad news. Jio is facing some major bug at their software end. Bug is causing complete service disruption for those who gets IPTV. For this reason they are not taking any new requests till it is fixed.

So 15th August Registration is suspended or still ON ??
I guess they tested different STB's and selected the best of it.
Hope it gets fixed soon. Did he tell how mcuh time/days/weeks it will take to fix ?
I found this video on Youtube, and the STB has android Interface
No word on 15th August, but I think it will go as planned. Also services are working fine if there is only broadband availed. Moreover stb will be an android box which is confirmed.

Update:
I got confirmation from Jio about its Giga TV STB.
It will not consume the data but you should have an active JioFiber plan to use the Jio Home TV service.
