Jio Sim- Is it mandatory to link with Adhar?

Bhai under the Samsung offer or the people who bought Lyf phone, ekyc was not there at that time. You had physically submit the aadhaar copy. I had bought many sims using aadhaar photocopy but did not give my fingerprint then.
It's not just aadhaar verification but biometric verification. Also I have come across incidence where someone else took connection using your aadhaar without your knowledge.

The message is for those who bought sim just by giving photocopy of proof.

Then why am I getting the message?

Last point seems to be valid reason. But they are messaging me for all the numbers i have obtained.

Also I know that initially they were also not having facility of eKYC but that was for a very short period and although i have taken 4 out of 6 connection through eKYC they are sending sms to reverify again.

Before ekyc they had sold like almost 4-5million connections. Also after ekyc started, if you had outstation aadhaar then also you had to fill the form manually, it was later on added in the automated system for outstation aadhaar.
Probably they have messed up with their list. Like Vodafone sends me for aadhaar verification even though I have done it. All my bank accounts are aadhaar linked but they still bombard me with sms and email daily. Jio isn't sending me any
