Ravi Teja's Kick is Better Than Bollywood Kick
Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja starrer 'Kick' has been remade in Hindi with the same title.
Sajid Nadiawala made his debut as a director with this Bollywood movie and Salman Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Irfan Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez appeared in the lead roles.
This film was released last Friday and opened up with mixed reviews.
Collections seem to be good as per the trade analysts and let us compare and see between Ravi Teja's Kick and Salman Khan's Kick.
Similarities:
- The basic plot of both the films is more or less the same as it tells story of an eccentric guy who gets a kick in doing unconventional things in life.
- The reason why Salman and Ravi Teja become robbers is the same ie to help every ailing child in the country.
- Both the films have an animated flashback which gives us a background about our hero’s childhood and his addiction to kick.
- Both Salman Khan and Ravi Teja refer to the cops Randeep Hooda and Syam chasing them as partners, and call them losers when they fail to nab them.
- The introduction scene of both the heroes is similar as the heroine tells the tale of her ex lover to her prospective husband on a train.
- Both Salman and Ravi Teja have crooned for their respective films.
- While Ravi Teja speaks in Hindi in Telugu flick, Dabangg star returns the favour by delivering Telugu lines in Kick.
Differences:
- While in Telugu film, the hero and the cop share the same name Kalyan, that is not the case here in Bhai’s Kick.
- Jacqueline Fernandez plays a psychiatrist unlike Ileana D’Cruz in the original whose profession was not disclosed.
- Brahmanandam comedy episodes which were hilarious in Telugu version are missing in this Kick. Director has completely chopped off those comedy scenes.
- In Telugu version, Ravi Teja follows Ileana, teases her and finally wins her heart but the love track in Salman's Kick is not at all engaging.
- Unlike Ravi Teja, Salman Khan wears the same mask for every robbery
- Though the action sequences in Hindi are made with high budget, Telugu version stunts are much better.
Verdict by the audience who watched both the films
Ravi Teja's Kick is 100 % better than Salman Khan's Kick. Salman tried his best but he is not at all matchable with the ever energetic Ravi Teja.
Comedy episodes, twists, punch dialogues and power-packed performance from Ravi Teja made Telugu 'Kick' one of the best films in both Mass Maharaja's and Surender Reddy's career.
Salman Khan's film might collect big at the box-office but the movie is not good when compared to Telugu Kick.
