Yes bro, whenever i travel i use 2G bcoz 3G drain more battery.

I never prefer and use smartphone as a primary phone. Keypad wala phone is better option

My thinking is different on this because I saw power cuts if my power bank not able to charge fully then how I able to use it during backup.

But I am also not declining power banks but thing is during travelling its not possible to use power bank and if your phone is dead all will goes down.
