Bros, I wasn't paying much attention to the Star Sports licence thing you were discussing above, but I have checked the list again and found out something interesting.

All above 6 sports channels of Star Sports still have permission from "ESPN Software India Pvt. LTD." On which channels are running now. ;)

But the dates which you all are confused about are the new licenses which is under "Star India's" name.

So, Star India has got new licenses for for following channels this month

Star Sports 1
Star Sports 2
Star Sports 3
Star Sports 4
Star Sports HD 1
Star Sports HD 2
ESPN
ESPN HD
Star Sports Highlights
Star Cricket Asia

So, what I think is the new licenses which Star India got on the name of Star Sports 1,2,3,4 and Star Sports HD 1 and 2 might use later, by changing name, for some new channels.

I hope all the doubts are cleared now.
You can check the list again for confirmation. :)

Oh what the hell. Konakni, sanskrit and even Santhali

Where is this Santhali language spoken?

IndianMascot bro.
It's written (earlier Star Sports HD ) which means the licence was applied on the name of Star Sports HD but later name was changed to 'Star Sports 2'.
You can post the bigger and better screenshot from the pdf, of the number from 150 to 156.

Star has permission to use ESPN name till 2014, so after that ESPN has to be renamed, hence got the new license under star sports to uplink from india, until now only star has downlink permission geekvishal bro.

The sports broadcaster, which broke away from the joint venture with ESPN Software India in 2012, was until now downlinking from Hong Kong and Singapore. Now with the permissions, the uplinking will be done from Noida, with a backup from Mumbai.

With regard to the brand name ESPN, according to Star India sources, Star Sports still has the permission to use the name since the licence was applied before the JV between Star Sports and ESPN ended.
