News Makkal TV takes Arasu to court over channel switch-off

The Madras High Court has issued notices to multi-system operator (MSO) Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation (TACTV) and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) on a petition filed by Makkal TV, which is backed by Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) party. The court has posted the matter for further hearing on 7 April. The petition was filed after Arasu had switched off the transmission of the channel on 31 March midnight without providing any reason.
