Michelin ties up with Snapdeal to sell tyres online

French tyre major Michelin today tied up with online marketplace Snapdeal to sell its products through the e-commerce platform. "Snapdeal with its large subscriber base and pan India reach has been an obvious choice. We believe this new channel will augment our existing distribution and enable our dealers with a parallel sales pipeline," Michelin India Commercial Director Mohan Kumar said in a statement. Under the partnership, consumers can place an order online via Snapdeal to purchase Michelin tyres from an authorised dealer and request for fitment at a time and place of their choice, the company said.
