Office has been improved a lot from 2007. Since i have started using office 2013, i will never revert back and will pay the subscription yearly from now onwards.

On the internet there seems to be confusion about all this.............it seems Microsoft has not fully revealed its plan clearly for mobile, tabs & PCs............But one thing is sure, they want to create unified experience for WIndows fearing competition...................as the growth in Windows / PCs is declining....... & mobile handset/Tabs from other manufacturers is growing..................

This is great news from Microsoft & for Satya.................
But still question remains as to how Microsoft would generate profit from all this.....................after all they are not doing this for charity................Only thing we can say is that there must be something hidden agenda & business model that people would come to know later....................may be after Windows 10 anniversary is over.................

Yeah. they seems to be distributing freebies to lure everyone back to Windows and then plan for generating revenue.

I think slowly - slowly Microsoft adopting Google's policy. Google's policy is very simple they will provide open source platform and generate revenue by stealing our data and monetize with commercials. Windows should now realize that many fools are not going pay for their products if open source freeware softwares are available even though Google selling our data and earning revenue by it and let it be, people are happy enough and wants to use more freebies, cheap products then paying the same with high price. So MS now following the simple funda made a open source platform and let profit come from different - different source

I think Google is probably the best website in the world. Whatever you wish to know, Google finds it for you. It's the genius algorithm that brings the morst precise results than any search engines in the world. I don't care if Google uses my data to show ads of my interest. Because it doesn't bother me at all. They also have to live and survive. And if they make it free from ads, and ask for donations, only a handful will pay them. And the website has to be google.org and not google.com, the .com itself says in general term is that, it's a commercial website.

Indians have been using the pirated versions as they feel MS Operating systems are expensive. Even XP which costs around Rs. 5000 was used without any legal Product keys.

Yeah because our thinking is better to use those 5000 on some gadget then investing on OS
