Microsoft Surface Pro Specs Review – it’s an Ultrabook and a tablet beautifully unified
This conclusion was derived by the Chip review site Anandtech, when it ran the benchmarks for the solid state drive of the Surface Pro. There was a yawning gap between the results between the Surface pro and the flash drive of the Apple’s iPad 4th generation.

The benchmark tests conducted by Anandtech showed just how fast the Surface Pro was in comparison to other tablets and high end smartphones.

The downside of this searing data transfer speeds is the battery life. Most tablets do not have such speeds and therefore the battery backup is very long. Surface Pro batteries have very short back-up and manage just 4 hours. iPad 4 has a battery back-up of almost 10 hours.

So in conclusion, where exactly will you put the Surface Pro tablet? The answer is quite obvious, an ultrabook bristling with an Intel Ivy Bridge processor, 4 GB of memory and a solid state drive. Future upgrades may see the Surface Pro featuring a heftier battery with longer back up.

Microsoft‘s series of Surface advertisements have been interesting to say the least, and their latest one is no exception. It’s the company’s first Surface Pro advertisement to air on television, and while we get to see the tablet being thrown around in a room full of break dancers, we’re quite sure if Microsoft hit the mark on this one.

Essentially the advertisement is a lot similar to past Surface ads we’ve seen, where the users perform cool trucks with the tablets, and in this case, breakdance with the tablet in hand. In the ad, we see what the Surface Pro can do for only a few split seconds, like take notes with the stylus in business reports, and even create music by plugging in a microphone.

I told my friend to bring 128 GB Surface Pro for me as he is coming to India on 22nd Feb., but it was out of stock in no time :(,
maybe Microsoft just launched few thousands of these initially

Microsoft's Surface Pro tablet is largely sold out at some retailers leading many to wonder if it’s a case of overwhelming demand or if Microsoft staged a limited release.
Bill Gates already has one, but some shoppers looking for Microsoft's Surface Pro tablet were out of luck when they went looking for the tablet this weekend.

The company's online store quickly sold out of the 128 GB Surface Pro and remains out of stock as of this writing. On the other hand, the 64 GB is available and ready to ship. Best Buy's website points to across the board shortages of both versions.

The 64 GB and 128 GB versions of the device are not available for shipping from Best Buy and few physical Best Buy locations have them in stock. At Staples, the 128 GB model is out of stock and listed as an "online only" offering. The 64 GB version is only available in select locations, and even then, they report low—and presumably dwindling—stock.

Meanwhile, Microsoft's retail distribution strategy is coming under fire again. When Surface RT launched, the company was criticized for making the device available only through its online and brick and mortar stores, which crimped demand.
