If you were hoping that you would continue using an older version of Windows on a newer computer system and save from the Windows 10 upgrade, Microsoft is here to disappoint you. In a bid to push its latest Windows 10 operating system to enterprise users and have users make the switch, the software giant has revealed that it would stop supporting older Windows versions on new processors.

Which simply means users would not be able to run Windows 8 or older versions on new processors. A report on Engadget notes that from now on, newer processors from AMD, Intel, and Qualcomm will require the current version of Windows to get enterprise support.
