A 23-year-old school teacher, Naina Mehta, who had gone missing last month on the day she was to be engaged surfaced on Wednesday at the court of the chief judicial magistrate, claiming she had married her Muslim lover and taken on the name Zoya.

According to a TOI report, armed with a high court order restraining police action against her "husband" and herself, the woman admitted before the court that she had married her lover, a Muslim boy named Zulfikar, and converted to Islam, becoming Zoya Idrisi from Naina Mehta.
