Only think I feel about UPI transaction is MPIN because it will compromise your account if someone knows the password same like ATM Pin.

One has to link the bank account for UPI transaction.
The mobile number which is used to register on PhonePay should be the same number used in bank account.

It will also enabled the UPI transaction of a bank as well just need a App henceforth.
