The Narendra Modi government has done a good job in diplomacy and in fixing the Indian railways, according to feedback from people who participated in an online survey.

On the occasion of having completed two years in office, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked people to rate his government's initiatives on the government portal mygov.in. More than 20,000 people participated in the online survey. Citizens can access the quiz through website — MyGov 2 Year

The Government will on June 8, make the survey available through phone as well. A toll free number 1800-11-7800 will be activated, so users can call and take the survey. Citizens can also give a missed call to 09514200100 and they will get a call back and be taken through the Survey.

The online results available have shown interesting trends. Initiatives taken by the government in Railways is the most appreciated category. On average, the Railway and Highway sectors scored 4.5, Foreign Policy scored 4.4, Make in India scored 4.2 and the Power Ministry Drive scored 4.1. These are the top 5 rated initiatives by the people.

Surprisingly, the government's flagship programmes like black money retrieval and Swachch Bharat are rated poorly. The survey shows Swachh Bharat scoring just 3.8 and black money retrieval programs scoring just 3.4. The govt also lacked in improving the quality of education (3.8).

However, people rated the government's efforts in tackling corruption a very high 82%.

The survey, available on the site in both Hindi and English, is in two sections of 15 questions each. Section 1 gauges how much citizens know about government schemes. Section 2 is where citizens are asked to rate the progress in flagship programs of the government at a macro level.

Of the 15 questions posed in the survey, the lowest rating is 3.4 on a scale of 5. So, there is no scheme of govt's programe where people are rating it below 68%. In more than 8 of the 15 questions, the rating is 4 or above, that is 80% or above. In two questions - on Railways and Highways, the government scores 90% or above (4.5 average). To ensure the survey is accessible to all, it will also be made available in Kannada, Tamil, Marathi, Bangla, Gujarati and Telugu, in addition to in Hindi and in English.

Yes. Both internal and external, action oriented government. Even though they are only implementing the measures of their predecessors.

Only swatch Bharat is BJP's and the rest like Digital India and Make in India are in infant stages.

They shouldnt involve in the moral policing and beating up people in public if two couples are just seated. As you may remember the past incidents of moral policing in Bengaluru and its impact.

This is based on a people's opinion right? Because I read few hours ago that Indian Railways Union is planning on an indefinite strike from 11th of July.
Southern Railway staff to strike work from July 11
Railway staff wouldn't be agreeing much on this article :p

But the funniest thing I read in that article is TOI's usage of the word of 'flagship'.
I thought a flagship program of any government was 'governance' where anti-corruption and good infrastructure planning was a part of it. :p
