Nope man. Non-removable battery doesn't mean change your phone when battery goes faulty. It simply means it can't be removed by users but it can very well be replaced by Service center.

Nope bro. I had already replaced non-removable battery of mine Nokia N8 and they charged be something around Rs 1500.

So, they gonna charge you only for battery and that for its official price.

But what's the harm is having non-removable battery. Earlier handsets were not at par and keeps on hanging. So, bettery needs to be removed. But now these phones are much stable and don't have such issues. So, why removable battery is required.
I think its not only about hanging............Its all about marketing........Simply these manufacturers want to restrict the usage of the phone beyond certain timeframe.....say 2 years........Just to make sure their product line keeps running & also for profit.

So they achieve this by various means........I read somewhere that "Planned obsolescence is part of hidden agenda for most companies.. Also planted failure..."

I think its Apple who first started iPhones without user replaceable batteries.......& others followed.....
And this is how a trillion dollor company is built.......:D

Yes but it depends on company............Last year I enquired about replaceable battery for Nokia & HTC phones. Nokia CC informed me that Service centre would replace the battery if required.
But HTC flatly denied & said battery isn't replaceable.

Agree Bro.......I have also changed 3 batteries for my Nokia phone & phone is still working on 4th battery.

I read last year that, charges for battery replacement are almost 80% of the phone cost for an iphone......So I don't think any iphone user will easily replace the battery.
