I am quite sure MN 2 HD will not come alone they must be waiting for Times Now HD. Elections are coming we need big resolution to see every panel of expert in crowded class type studio where 1 teacher type anchor shouts in a sound quality of 5.1.

But news channels in HD makes no sense. People don't watch news channels for look and feel. Moreover expecting all field reporters to be provided with HD cameras will be a costly affair. Yes studio recordings can come in HD

But imagine times now hd newshour debate in 5.1 dolby digital, where each panelist's voice comes from 4 different audio channels, and Arnab's from center channel! It'd be really cool, and we'd be able to hear everyone's voice in the debate, for a change....

Firstly Arnab panel is huge. So we need HD resolution to fit all panel members comfortably. 2ndly 5.1 audio can be distributed channel for each speaker separately. And only Arnab will sound across all 6 channels

No, Arnab will sound via center channel and others via remaining channels, ie. Arnab=Dialogue, others=background music!!!
