Times Group is on fire. They already have 3 HD channels in the same genre. And HBO is still thinking about launching their HD channel.

But only mn+ available in all DTH
Movies now HD & romedy now HD still with 2 DTH only

"HBO HD" and "Sony Le Plex HD" both are still waiting for the licenses, may be in June month they will get the license, I am doubtfull that HBO has still applied for the change in name of HBO Hits HD to HBO HD, it seems that they are still not sure of launching HBO HD, otherwise an approval for change in the name will not take eight months, if they would have to launch HBO HD they could have launched it on the first of January itself on the license of HBO Hits HD with its name in a very small size in any of the below corners till they get the actuall approval for it, like many channels are doing as Gemporia on Travel Trendz license, Housefull Action on 9x jhakhas license, It shows that Turner India itself needs time to launch HBO HD, they have still not decided to launch it soon and where it has to be launched it has to be rebranded only that too be a mirror channel of its SD version, where is the problem, problem is with the Turner India itself !!

Yeah, they went a long time ago. Most of the people still watch Hindi or regional language channels, no matter how many English channels get launched.

HD content, even old series and movies, for English channels are easily available, it's not the same for Hindi or other Indian languages.

And we mostly consume American English Entertainment. HAHA

India wants English to connect with each other, otherwise guy like me can't interact with people from South who have a such great English that either I have to give up and arrange language call back for them or they give up.
