Coming up with a weird sort of offer, Madhya Pradesh food minister Vijay Shah has floated proposal for his fans that after paying Rs 10, they can pose for selfie and shake hands with him.
The minister often in trouble for his controversial remarks has clarified that he wishes to raise funds for the trust established by him in the name of his father Devi Shah. Meanwhile, the opposition Congress not impressed with the minister’s idea cried foul.
Shah turned to none other than Queen Elizabeth when asked about inspiration behind his idea of Rs 10 selfie and handshake. The minister revealed that anyone who wishes to shake hands with the Queen has to pay Rs one lakh. The minister accepted paying Rs 1 lakh for handshake with the Queen during his UK trip along with his officers.
Opposition Congress however did not like the minister's idea. Party MLA Bala Bachchan even termed the plan as cheap popularity gimmick.
