Multiple connections

An acquaintance of mine uses D2H. He had a HD annual pack on his main connection and an add on HD connection for his brother.

Two months back, his brother had to shift to Vijayawada from Hyderabad. Apparently he continued using the same system and STB. He got a duplicate dish and cabling done for 1000 bucks.

Now, even though in a different location, he enjoys full features.

Is this allowed/legal?

As per d2h its not allowed. But this cant be termed as illegal.

In Tata Sky we can have multitoom connection in two different cities.

However in d2h, they have condition that both connection need to be in same premises.

But small tweaking in their process and we can enjoy multi room connection in different town.

E.g. My family was using d2h since a long time on home town. So later I also took a new connection in mumbai. And after some 3-4 months I merged both the account. So I was able to enjoy multitoom benefit in two different cities.

Email them all the box details asking to merge in one account and is done.

But whenever you need engineer visit you have to inform them the specific address to visit. If they insist on visiting the registered address, get it changed online on email by sending scanned docs.
