Nalasopara man has been arrested for allegedly buying railway tickets online and selling it on black.
Santosh Jha,a resident of Santosh Bhuvan in Nalasopara (east) had created an account on the IRCTC website.
He used to make bulk purchases and sell each ticket by charging an additional Rs 1,000 to 2,000.
The Railway Protection Force (RPF) Western Railway had received several complaints of tickets being unable on the website but easily available with Jha. The police raided his office and seized a computer, hand disc, two cellphones and 32 railway tickets.
IRCTC has authorized Retail Service Providers (RSP) to book e-tickets on the request of passengers. The agent can charge a fee as prescribed by the IRCTC.
