i think u r mixing net neutrality n free basics. they both are different. although i m not on facebook or any other social networking sites or on any social media.
but i will support net neutrality n free basics as well. exclude facebook from it. exclude all irrelevant social networking sites.
but y to avoid free basic concepts ? we live in 21st century n we are world's third largest economy. still people do not know how to use net.
free basics is necessity of india now.
Net neutrality and free basics are actually mixed, Bro - I'm not mixing it.
I would wish to let u know that free basics is entirely against the basic principle of net neutrality. Free basics advocates offering free access to the sites which partner with them. Which means they'll charge differentially for remaining of the sites. Offering only some sites for free amounts to monopolising the trade.
Are you ready to pay differential charges to each and every service you access?
What net neutrality means is when you subscribe to a data plan, either on your PC or mobile - your operator cannot charge differentially based on the platform, location, app, site, equipment or medium. All the services are equally treated. Free basics works against this principle.
All those members are trying point it out you and you are being adamant on saying you are ready to pay more. That shows your lack of knowledge on the topic concerned. I don't blame you because it is the way those free basics ads have been designed. But please remember free basics is totally against net neutrality.
P. S - Now I. can clearly see the effects of lobbying by Facebook. If an well educated guy like Prateek can be misled, what would be the fate of the lesser knowledgeable?

You cannot support free basics and net neutrality at the same time. Because when you support one you automatically are not supporting the other.
I hope you understand the difference.

i think many people are not aware. it cannot be possible. i mean different pricing formula.
govt. have already said that. so this is not going to be happened.

also in my above post i clearly said that we must exclude facebook or any other useless social networking sites n social media.

free basics will be useful for poor people. i m supporting for that only. bcoz poor people are also my brothers.
If people like those who have come out in support of free basics have their way, that is exactly what would happen. Free basics will win and that would be a black day for net neutrality.

govt. said that net neutrality will be maintained. :wink2::wink3:
even telecom operators opposed it n they were in favour of the net neutrality.
Telecom operators are the ones who are going against net neutrality. First it was Airtel Zero and now free basics. They even considered a differential pricing for IMs like WhatsApp.

Airtel rolled out separate packs for VoIP services which later it was reverted due to the backlash from the customers.
