Not free. Its 30 per month. But they have a offer, with that its 100 rupees per year.
If you have good internet(2mbps +) connection, then Airtel is having "On demand service", using that you can download last 6 days of programs.
This service is free. But you have to pay for some contents from their library.
They also have Universal remote (free of cost). So i already thrown away my TV remote.
In news channels, we can read the direct tweets, by pressing green button on the remote. Twitter on TV
You can take each HD channels individually, unlike D2h or TS, which has "Access fee" concept.
They will customize and give you different packages, With different SD, HD combinations.
For example, i can choose more than 15 variety of packages, starting from 1850 to 6500
So i simply love Airtel.

Simply put your mobile no in my account one OTP you will receive. Then type the OTP your account will be activated. The free month subscription is for MEGA pack which not included the HD Access fee of Rs. 175/-. The total package cost will be 500+175 = 675/- that means total you have to pay 999/- + 175/- = 1174/- I think. You will get the offer after login. It will be appear at the Right side of the page. You have to link it with your mobile number (Any network). They will send OTP. Then using that you have to login.
It took me 48 hours to activate "My account" after installation
Yes. you are right. And base package cost is less. But as you go for higher packages, its costlier than d2h

There is no "HD Access fee " concept in Airtel. It depends on channel you take. For example i have 11HD channels package, for 75 rupees per month.
